Background
Painter Kurt Jackson has retraced the steps of JMW Turner, exploring what he saw and how he depicted it.

Combine original engravings with contemporary paintings allowing the visitor to compare the two approaches.

Requirements
A clear narrative of a journey.

The artist was exploring the South West countryside finding his way around looking for locations favoured by tourists. Old black and white Cornish signposts where the inspiration for the identity.

Challenges
Turner’s engravings had to be displayed separately from the new works. They are sensitive and need to be displayed in low light levels.

The two artists’ works were displayed on different walls. Locations were allocated a number from one to twelve and were labelled clearly.

Outcomes
Exhibition and marketing. Digital app for mobile devices available from App Store.
